Are we the loonies?
 

There is an old idea that the only person who doesn't realise you're a lunatic if you are one is yourself.

I took my grandson to the Bank of England Museum this morning.

In one of the rooms there was a Pamp Suisse "400ozt" 997.9 gold bar (marked F6976/1.01) caged in such a way that you can feel and lift it a little way, but not get it out.

Unlike the children in this brochure picture, who were doubtless forced to feel the thing by a teacher,

Deffo felt myself in the minority. :confused_m:

At the risk of sounding judgmental, I think you have a mind too active in imagination. So we dig gold and most people don't. That is true. You don't need to put too much "analysis" into such "trivial" observations. :wink:

No, looney is going to work for 50 years hating it, but not caring enough to educate yourself about things like financial literacy, financial independence, and real money.

Obviously the museum itself shares your enthusiasm...somebody had to go through the trouble of putting together the exhibit. I'm sure they expected someone to dig it.
